Health Guarantee and Lifetime Support

We are committed to raising healthy, well-socialized kittens and supporting our families long after adoption. This page explains our 1 Year Health Guarantee and the lifetime support we provide to every customer.

1 Year Health Guarantee (Genetic and Congenital Conditions)

Your kitten is covered by a one (1) year health guarantee from the date you take your kitten home. This guarantee is intended to protect against serious hereditary (genetic) or congenital conditions that significantly impact your kitten’s quality of life.

What is Covered

This guarantee covers a life-altering genetic or congenital condition that:

  • Is diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian
  • Was present prior to adoption, even if not detectable at the time
  • Is confirmed within the first 12 months after the go-home date

Examples may include certain congenital organ defects or severe hereditary diseases (coverage depends on diagnosis and documentation).

What is Not Covered

The health guarantee does not cover conditions that can be caused by environment, exposure, or routine care, including:

  • Parasites (internal or external), coccidia, giardia, or routine digestive upset
  • Upper respiratory infections or other contagious illnesses that can be contracted after leaving our home
  • Stress-related issues from rehoming, travel, diet changes, or household transitions
  • Injuries, accidents, neglect, or improper handling
  • Non-life-threatening or cosmetic issues (minor bite alignment, minor hernias, coat color changes, tear staining)
  • Reactions to vaccines, medications, anesthesia, or food sensitivities
  • Any condition resulting from failure to provide routine veterinary care

Veterinary Care and Records

Before Going Home

Each kitten leaves us:

  • Up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations
  • Routinely dewormed on a schedule appropriate for age and risk
  • With a general wellness assessment and close monitoring of growth, appetite, and behavior

You Will Receive

  • A copy of your kitten’s vaccine and deworming records
  • Any additional care notes we have for your kitten’s routine, diet, and transition

Buyer Responsibilities (Required to Maintain the Guarantee)

To keep this health guarantee valid, you agree to the following:

  1. Vet Visit Within 72 Hours
Take your kitten to a licensed veterinarian for a wellness exam within 72 hours of pickup or delivery.

    • If your kitten is found to have a serious health issue at that visit, notify us immediately and provide the written vet report.
  2. Ongoing Veterinary Care
    Provide routine veterinary care, including:

    • Completing the kitten vaccine series and boosters as recommended by your veterinarian
    • Parasite prevention and treatment as needed
    • Prompt veterinary attention if illness or injury occurs
  3. Proper Nutrition and Safe Indoor Home

    • Feed a quality diet and maintain access to clean water
    • Keep your kitten in a safe indoor environment unless supervised outdoors
    • Avoid exposure to unvaccinated animals and high-risk environments during the transition period
  4. No Declawing
Declawing is harmful and is considered a violation of our agreement. Declawing (or tendonectomy) will void this guarantee.

If a Covered Condition is Diagnosed

If your kitten is diagnosed with a condition covered under this guarantee within the first year:

What We Require

  • Written diagnosis from a licensed veterinarian
  • Supporting medical records and test results
  • We may request a second opinion from a veterinarian of our choosing (at our expense for the consult only, unless otherwise agreed)

Resolution Options

If the condition is confirmed as covered, we will work with you in good faith to offer one of the following (our choice, depending on circumstances and availability):

  • Replacement kitten when available, or
  • Partial or full purchase price credit toward a future kitten

Veterinary bills are not covered unless specifically agreed in writing.

Contagious Illness Policy

Kittens can be exposed to viruses, bacteria, and parasites in many common settings, including veterinary clinics, grooming facilities, boarding, pet stores, and contact with other animals. Because these exposures are outside our control after adoption, contagious illnesses are not covered under the 1-year genetic/congenital guarantee.

We are still here to help. If your kitten becomes ill, contact us for supportive guidance and best practices during recovery.

Lifetime Support

We do not disappear after adoption. We offer lifetime support for every kitten we place.

You can reach out to us anytime for help with:

  • Litter box training and adjustment guidance
  • Feeding transitions and nutrition suggestions
  • Behavioral questions, enrichment, and play needs
  • Grooming, shedding, coat care, and nail trimming tips
  • Introducing your kitten to children, cats, and dogs
  • General wellness questions and what to monitor as your kitten grows

If at any point you are unable to keep your kitten, contact us first. We will help you explore safe options and, when possible, assist with rehoming guidance.

Our Commitment to Responsible Placement

We place kittens in homes that are ready for a lifelong commitment. Our goal is to provide:

  • Healthy kittens raised with careful socialization
  • Clear communication before and after adoption
  • Long-term support so you feel confident as a kitten owner
